Our philanthropic priorities are Workforce Development and Financial Empowerment. At Citizens, we strive to collaborate closely with high-impact nonprofit organizations and build strong partnerships that include opportunities for colleague volunteerism and joint storytelling.Citizens operates two Foundations—the Citizens Charitable Foundation and the Citizens Philanthropic Foundation.Focus AreasCitizens focuses on two specific funding areas, Workforce Development and Financial Empowerment. We focus our funding on projects that serve diverse, underserved populations and neighborhoods and demonstrate strong results. We look to partner with established 501(c)(3) organizations with programs that strongly align with one or more of the above funding priorities. Grant requests should demonstrate funding priority alignment and impact and should highlight opportunities to showcase the proposed partnership through collaboration and colleague engagement.Workforce DevelopmentWe fund programs that help build the workforce of the future through job training, career education and career coaching programs.

Must be an IRS qualified charitable 501(c)(3) organizationCurrently, Citizens only accepts unsolicited contribution applications from organizations in select geographic areas: CT, DC, DE, FL, MA, MD, MI, NH, OH, PA, RI, Upstate NY, VA and VT.
